About
Zero G Gear was established with the goal of creating high-quality, custom and weight conscious Ultralight Gear right here in Australia.
After starting the journey to become an 'ultralight hiker' I was shocked to discover the limited availability of gear in Aus. With this in mind, Zero G Gear was created. Putting Australian UL gear on the map.

Based in the Southern Highlands of NSW, this small one man business creates gear made for Australian conditions, allowing you to experience all that the wilderness has to offer with confidence.

What Zero G Gear does...
Everything created by Zero G Gear has been designed with form, function and of course weight in mind. I try to add something to your outdoor experience by removing what is unnecessary.

I hope to bring back the idea of gear made by hikers for hikers. Hoping for an experience based on the ever changing needs of UL hikers. If you have any feedback or custom requests feel free to get in touch as I know UL gear is a personal thing. As each persons experience of the outdoors is different so is the gear each person has chosen to bring along.
I hope some of my gear will go along with you.
Meet The Maker...
About Me...
My name is Tearloch, I am the Owner, Designer and Maker here at Zero G Gear.

Zero G Gear is currently a one man brand. Everything you see is handcrafted by myself in the small town of Bowral.

I am an avid hiker who has hiked both Nationally and abroad. Having completed the Larapinta Trail, Mittagong to Katoomba and hiked all around the incredible country, Nepal just to name a few.

I have always loved hiking and the outdoors in general, however for many years cycling was a major part of my life. I was lucky enough to race in the National Road Circuit, become an Everesting World Record holder and hold jerseys in International Tours. This was such incredible experience and opened the door to many exciting opportunities and challenges.
After having to leave my much loved sport I turned to the world of Ultralight Hiking. This lead to the creation of Zero G Gear.
I started making Ultralight gear for myself and then turned to making gear for others. This is something I take great pride in as I can only imagine the feeling of walking down a trail one day soon and seeing someone with my gear. I already feel proud to know the gear I have created is bringing joy to someone out on the trail.

I cannot wait to see where this exciting new challenge leads....
